STEM Student Employment Opportunities

All on-campus student jobs are advertised on HuskyHires on a quarterly basis.  Look for Biology, CSS, Engineering and Mathematics, and Physical Sciences listings.

Qualifications

Student employees must be current full-time students—enrolled at the University of Washington for at least 6 credits if they are an undergraduate or 4 credits if they are a graduate student during autumn quarter, unless they are in “on leave” status because they were enrolled for at least 6 (or 4 as a graduate student) academic credits during the previous quarter. International students who graduated the previous quarter are not eligible to be hired as student graders.

Start date

Students are not allowed to begin grading/facilitating before their employment paperwork has been submitted and entered and they are notified by UWB Payroll that they are in the Workday system. This is a federal law that the School of STEM must follow.
