Campus Safety

Welcome to the Campus Safety Department

Our department provides professional security and  campus safety services to UW Bothell and Cascadia College. To enhance the teaching and learning environment for the entire campus community, we are committed to creating and maintaining safety as well as a sense of security. Campus Safety Officers actively patrol the campus to get to know our community members.

Campus Safety also partners with Allyson Long who is our Environmental Health, Safety & Emergency Specialist. Allyson works to facilitate all training, lead educational outreach programs and support safety initiatives for both campuses.

The Campus Safety Office is located in the LB2 building street level on Campus Way NE. Our dispatch center operates 24 hours, 7 days a week to provide a safe and secure environment for our community.

Prompt Reporting

If you see something, say something. It is important that you promptly report any suspicious activity to Campus Safety as soon as possible to ensure that the situation gets investigated immediately.

The Bothell Police Department will respond to any immediate emergency needs which include any violent crimes or other incidents beyond the capabilities of the Campus Safety Officers. Campus Safety Officers work closely with the Bothell Police Officers who spend a significant amount of time on our campus to be well prepared for any major incidents.

Report an incident Online

The UW Bothell Campus Safety Department staff are not law enforcement. We work in partnership with the City of Bothell Police Department for emergencies that require law enforcement response. Although you may report incidents of crime to Campus Safety, it is encouraged that all incidents of crime on campus be reported to the Bothell Police Department as well.

If this is an emergency, please call 911.

The Campus Safety Department’s online reporting system allows you to immediately report an incident involving: Lost Property, Vandalism, Theft of Personal Property, Vehicle Prowl, Non-injury Vehicle Hit and Run, and Hazard.

If your situation is not an emergency and occurred on the UW Bothell Campus, you are ready to file your report.  Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report.

Upon completion of this on-line report process you will receive an On-line Report number and will be able to print a copy of the report.

*Please note, if you would like an in-person response from a Campus Safety officer or you are requesting follow-up to a submitted report, please call the Campus Safety Department.
