Graduates of our program are prepared for the modern security workforce; ready to protect and defend cyber systems with hands-on experience in ethical penetration testing, wireless security, network security, cryptography, risk management and security of emerging technologies. Students will pair practical skills with theoretical research in a culminating project or thesis.  

Scholarships available for autumn 2023

Apply to the University of Washington Bothell Cybersecurity Engineering master’s program by the autumn 2023 deadline to be automatically considered for an available scholarship that covers 15 credits of tuition for the first three quarters.

Interested in switching your career to cybersecurity engineering?

Build upon your knowledge from introductory programming classes or refresh your skills to prepare to go into the Master of Science in Cybersecurity Engineering. Take six graduate-level courses in nine months to develop a computer science foundation in data structures & object-oriented programming, software development processes, software modeling techniques, systems programming, and software testing & quality.
