  • Dr. Al-Noori: CBIT Career-Connected Learning Pedagogy Infrastructure grant proposal in collaboration with faculty members at the Hashemite University School of Nursing, titled “Creating Career-Focused Learning Spaces that Integrate Culturally-Responsive Pedagogy, Connected Learning, Cross-Disciplinary Mentorship, and International Collaboration”. Submitted 2/24/2023 (currently under review).  
  • Dr. Al-Noori: Submitted an Increase and Diversify Education Abroad for U.S. Students (IDEAS) Program grant proposal (December, 2022); selected as a semi-finalist of 2023 grant competition (United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs); next-phase submission currently under preparation 
  • Dr. Al-Noori: Co-Applicant (with multiple STEM faculty through UWB Office of Connected Learning) on UWB Investment Fund grant application – Seeding Degree-Focused Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs: My proposed role will involve leading a study-abroad program for Biology in Jordan, Early Fall 2024: Skills Development for the Biotechnology Sector. This program will build on my recent Fulbright experience, and will address “marketable skill development needs of Middle East North Africa (MENA) refugees and first-generation college students at UWB. It capitalizes on the biotech industry hub in Bothell and integrates experiences of U.S.-based students from refugee families, aligning with efforts of UWB’s Student Association for Immigrants and Refugees (SAFIR). Participants will explore culturally-responsive curriculum ideas tailored to the interests and needs of the refugee community in Jordan. A COIL course during Autumn Quarter 2024 will implement the designed curriculum, with instructors in Jordan and U.S. facilitating learning and industry professionals sharing expertise”. Letter of Intent submitted February, 2023.
