Biography
His expertise is in signal processing for biomedical applications. He has a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Tsinghua University, China. Dr. Nie has one year industrial experience developing signal processing algorithms for hearing aids working for Starkey Laboratories, Inc., Eden Prairie, MN. In addition, he has over 10 years of teaching experience at various institutions. Dr. Nie has published 7 papers. He is currently employed as a research professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
