How cloud rendering research led to a dream job

Parker Ford (MSCSSE ‘25) in Brazil for the Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images

Parker Ford (‘25) credits his passion for computer graphics, cloud watching and a trip to Brazil for getting his dream job as a software engineer.

During his time as a student in the Master of Science in Computer Science & Software Engineering program, Ford worked closely alongside Dr. Kelvin Sung, professor in the Department of Computing & Software Systems, on his capstone project. Together they rendered digital images of clouds, which they submitted in a paper titled “Real-Time Atmospheric Cloud Rendering System.”

This paper was accepted into the Brazilian Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images, where Ford had the opportunity to give a presentation.
