Environmental internships provide opportunity for interdisciplinary work
As part of a new internship program launched by the Lake Forest Park Stewardship Foundation, students had the opportunity to examine and conduct field experiments on urban watersheds in Northern King County. Students from a variety of majors and local colleges came together to channel their shared passion for the environment into meaningful, hands-on research.
Dr. Campbell, a lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences, has spent years monitoring local creeks. As a mentor, she guided students through hands-on experiences in evaluating stream health, helping them learn how stream health is monitored and develop practical skills.
