STARS program increases access to STEM programs

The State Academic Rising Scholars program was launched last year as part of an effort to increase access for pre-major students from underrepresented backgrounds intending to graduate with a STEM degree. The two-year STARS program offers supplemental courses and specialized support from faculty and staff to ensure that students are prepared to enter a STEM major and graduate ready to contribute to a more inclusive tech industry.
