$1 million NSF grant to transform physics labs nationwide

Dr. Rachel Scherr, associate professor in the Department of Physical Sciences, is planning a major evolution in physics education learning methods. With a strong emphasis on hands-on experiments rather than focusing on theory, teachers and students alike will gain richer, more practical learning experiences in redesigned physics labs.
