How to Change Your Password via Remote Desktop
Step 1: In the window start menu search for “remote desktop connection” and open it.
Step 2: Type the computer name as “passreset1.uwb.edu” and click “Connect”.
Step 3: It will ask you for your credentials, select “Use another account”. Important Note: Do NOT check “Remember my credentials”.
Step 4: Enter your user name followed by “@uw.edu” and your password and then click “Ok”.
Step 5: A warning may pop up asking if you still want to connect. Go ahead and click “Yes”.
Step 6: You will then be prompted that you need to change your password before logging in.
Step 7: Enter your old password and your new password twice. Note: Every password must contain one upper and lower case letter, and either a special character or number. Passwords must be longer than 8 characters.
Step 8: Once you have changed your password, log off of “passreset1” and the remote desktop session will close automatically.
