Sustainability is a core part of the University of Washington Bothell and has been since our founding. Learn more about our campus operations, or fill out this form to request a tour or volunteer opportunity with us!

What is sustainability?

The University of Washington defines sustainability as the capacity and commitment to create and maintain healthy, equitable and diverse communities now and into the future. Take a deeper dive into the UW Sustainability definition.

UW Bothell honors our commitment by:

• Developing an understanding and respect for the interdependence of the atmosphere, the waters, the land, and all life on Earth;
• Recognizing the legacy and on-going impacts of human activity; and
• Committing to cultivate collective wisdom and to deliberately act out of that understanding, respect and recognition.
