Lee- Outdoor Wellness Leader

LeebysignLee is a 1st-year OWL who’s excited for a year full of leading outdoor trips! Lee is a sophomore at UWB intending on majoring in Conservation and Restoration Sciences, and has plenty of outdoor experience from his time as a Scout. He enjoys sharing his passion for the natural world, and how it helps foster relationships with people from all walks of life. From snowshoeing to canoing, he thrives on adventure and can’t wait to teach and learn new things in the Outdoor Wellness program!

Link- Outdoor Wellness Leader

linkonboatLink is a 1st-year OWL and a 2nd-year student at Cascadia College. He became an OWL to expand his abilities and exchange knowledge with anyone and everyone he can meet. He loves environmental sciences, especially marine biology, and yearns to learn all he can about every species of crab on Earth. He also enjoys camping, kayaking, and cycling and wants to expand his experience in outdoor activities.

He is looking forward to connecting the program with the education that he is bringing to the team and looks forward to meeting everyone while camping and especially backpacking! Rileigh- Outdoor Wellness Coordinator

Rileigh smilingRileigh is a returning 3rd-year OWL and now the Outdoor Wellness Coordinator. She is majoring in Conservation and Restoration Science and minoring in Biology at UW Bothell. She became an OWL because she adores being outside whenever possible and encouraging others to engage with our natural world in a respectful way. She feels as though she is her best self when outdoors and has found that her heart is filled most when she gets to help others gain/regain their connection to nature. She believes that everyone has the right to a personal relationship with the environment and hopes to act as a bridge for those who are just entering the world of outdoor recreation. Rileigh’s favorite activities include reading, rock climbing, kickboxing, playing guitar, hiking, backpacking, playing with her cat Leo, meeting new people, learning new facts about the environment, and spontaneously breaking into song!
