Fitness Center Policies
General Policies
- Access to the Fitness Center is restricted to current ARC fee paying Cascadia College and University of Washington Bothell students, as well as Faculty & Staff with the purchase of a membership.
- A valid Campus Card or government-issued ID is required for access.
- Proper attire is always required. The minimum workout attire must consist of bathing suit coverage of tops and bottoms through full range of motion.
- Sandals, open toed or open backed shoes are not permitted.
- Food is not allowed in this space. Beverages allowed in shatterproof and covered containers.
- Filming and photography are prohibited in the facility.
- Store all belongings in Day Use lockers. Lockers available for checkout at the Fitness Center Desk.
- ARC staff will determine the music selection on the center’s sound system.
- Personal headsets or earbuds are welcome if the volume is not disruptive to others. No personal boom boxes, blue tooth speakers or stereos allowed.
- The ARC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
- Alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, and other hazardous items are prohibited in the facility.
- Report injuries and/or incidents to the Activities & Recreation Center Staff or by calling 425-352-3580.
Strength Floor
- Proper attire is always required. The minimum workout attire must consist of bathing suit coverage of tops and bottoms through full range of motion.
- Sandals, open toed or open backed shoes are not permitted.
- Filming and photography are prohibited in the facility.
- Store all belongings in Day Use lockers. Lockers available for checkout at the Fitness Center Desk.
- Clean up chalk and sanitize equipment after use.
- Allow others to work in between sets.
- Bars, dumbbells and plates must be returned to their proper place/racks after use.
- Dropping of equipment is not permitted.
- Spotters are strongly recommended when lifting.
- Utilize collars and safety racks for all barbell lifts.
- Do not remove any equipment from this space.
Cardio Area
- Proper attire is always required. The minimum workout attire must consist of bathing suit coverage of tops and bottoms through full range of motion.
- Sandals, open toed or open backed shoes are not permitted.
- Filming and photography are prohibited in the facility.
- Please observe a 30-minute limit on cardio equipment while others are waiting.
- Store all belongings in Day Use lockers. Lockers available for checkout at the Fitness Center Desk.
- Sanitize equipment after use.
- Seek assistance from staff regarding the operation of any equipment.
Locker Room
- Store all belongings in Day Use lockers. Lockers available for checkout at the Fitness Center Desk.
- Filming and photography are prohibited in the facility.
- The ARC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
- Limit the use of cell phone conversations in the ARC locker rooms.
- Locker rooms are to be used for their intended purpose only.
- Report injuries and/or incidents to the Activities & Recreation Center Staff or by calling 425-352-3580.
Studio
- Avoid interrupting scheduled activities in progress.
- Proper attire is always required. The minimum workout attire must consist of bathing suit coverage of tops and bottoms through full range of motion.
- Sandals, open toed or open backed shoes are not permitted.
- Filming and photography are prohibited in the facility.
- Sanitize equipment after use.
- Food is not allowed in this space. Beverages allowed in shatterproof and covered containers.
- Use of studio electronics is limited to staff use only.
- Personal headsets or earbuds are welcome if the volume is not disruptive to others. No personal boom boxes, blue tooth speakers or stereos allowed.
- Do not remove equipment from this space.
- All participants in ARC programming must also adhere to all other policies and procedures outlined by the department.
