Meet the Staff

Group Fitness Instructors (GFI) plan, lead, and facilitate group fitness classes for the ARC at the Fitness Center. They create an inclusive and welcoming environment by providing options for all skill levels and help participants reach their fitness and wellness goals.

Aurelie

Aurelie is a first-year student at University of Washington Bothell and is majoring in Law Economics & Policy. They are passionate about physical training and appreciate the challenge it brings to grow as a person and wants others to have that opportunity and enjoyment. She will be teaching Yoga Power & Dance Cardio this Fall quarter. Crow is her favorite yoga pose – it is a great challenge for balance and makes you feel strong.


Faith

Faith is a third year transfer student at University of Washington Bothell studying Psychology. She is a Group Fitness Instructor because she loves to engage, collaborate, and connect with people who also enjoy dancing and creating a positive environment. Faith teaches Barre and Yoga Vinyasa Flow this quarter. Her favorite Ballet move is an arabesque because it makes them feel like a ballerina and it represents balance and strength.


Phohanh

Phohanh is a third-year student at University of Washington Bothell and is a CSSE major. She will be teaching Total Body Strength this academic year. She likes Group Fitness classes because they are a welcoming environment that help her grow, not only physically, but as someone who can help guide others in new things. Her favorite pose is a side stretch, because it helps open up her back in the mornings.


Samantha

Samantha is a third year student at University of Washington Bothell and is a Business Admin major. She is a Group Fitness Instructor because she has been doing yoga for a long time and looked like a fun opportunity. She teaches Yoga Vinyasa Flow and Yoga Restorative this quarter. Samantha’s favorite yoga pose is child’s pose because it’s very relaxing.


Sruthi

Sruthi is a fourth-year student at University of Washington Bothell studying Psychology and will be teaching Pilates classes this Fall Quarter. She is a Group Fitness Instructor because she wants to inspire others to find the joy in exercise and mind-body connection Pilates focuses on. Sruthi’s favorite Pilates exercise is bridges because it is a great exercise to activate your core in a different way and helps with other types of workouts including weightlifting and strength training.
