It has come to our attention that the registration software we use is currently not allowing anyone to register for our programs. Outdoor Wellness is Hiring for 2026-2027

Outdoor Wellness is hiring for the 2026-2027 school year! We have two positions open, both of which applications are due by May 1, 2026. Read more about the open positions and how to apply below.

Outdoor Wellness Leader (OWL): Outdoor Wellness Leaders (OWLs) fill a vital leadership and community-building role on campus. Leaders develop, plan, and facilitate both on and off campus activities focused on outdoor recreation and holistic wellness of students for a variety of skill levels and abilities. In addition to leading programs, OWLs are responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of the Nest Gear Shop and delivering exceptional customer service to students, staff and faculty members from UWB and Cascadia College. Leaders will receive significant training on wilderness skills, outdoor activity instruction, risk management, and environmental practices before at the start of employment and throughout the year. Additionally, all Outdoor Wellness Leaders will receive training for CPR/AED, First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, and Leave No Trace.

OW Student Coordinator: The Outdoor Wellness Coordinator is a pivotal role on the Outdoor Wellness team. The coordinator is tasked with the responsibility of organizing and executing marketing campaigns, initiatives, and activities to promote the Outdoor Wellness program in addition to assisting the Program Manager with certain administrative tasks. The Coordinator will work alongside Outdoor Wellness Leaders to gather marketing content and implement marketing initiatives using this content. They will also be responsible for conducting market research and analyzing current and past Outdoor Wellness marketing campaigns to assess effectiveness and improve the approach of the program. The Outdoor Wellness Coordinator will be required to be certified in CPR/AED/First Aid.

Collaborate With Outdoor Wellness!

We welcome collaboration requests from student organizations, clubs, and other campus groups! With the expertise of our Outdoor Wellness Leaders, you have the chance to reach a broader audience, enhance the wellness and outdoor components of your desired program, and gain access to our library of equipment in the Nest Gear Shop. Our team is happy to work with specific needs or accommodations, just let us know!

Please fill out this form with all your event information at least 4 weeks in advance of when you would like to host the event to give the Outdoor Wellness team enough time to plan and prepare for the event. Collaboration opportunities will be scheduled for Summer Quarter 2025 and beyond.

PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to collaborate on an off campus event, there is no guarantee we can secure permitting with less than a year notice. We will try our very best to accommodate, however.
