The SR-522/I-405 exit ramp to the south entrance of the UW Bothell/Cascadia CC campus will be closed beginning Wednesday, Sept. 17 until further notice. Drivers are advised to take the Beardslee exit (195th street) as an alternative.

Housing

ISS encourages students to confirm your accommodations before you arrive in the U.S. Students should not plan to arrive without having housing accommodations secured, as on-campus housing is not guaranteed and it can take at least a couple of weeks to find suitable off-campus housing.

Temporary Accomodations

If you need a place to stay in Bothell until you can secure your long-term housing accommodations, you may consider staying with a local host family (see information below) or staying at one of the  hotels located within walking distance to UW Bothell:

On-Campus Housing

UW Bothell Student Housing offers a furnished, on-campus apartments that include a kitchen, bathroom, washer and dryer! Living-Learning Communities at UW Bothell

One unique option available to students who want to live on campus is to join a Living-Learning Community (LLC). LLCs give you the added benefit of living with other students who share similar interests. There are currently two LLC themes at UW Bothell:

  • Global Learning: This community includes students from countries all around the world who are interested in a mutual exchange of culture and ideas.
  • Science and Technology: This community has students interested in environmental and biological sciences, as well us electrical engineering, math, physics, computing & software systems, and video game technology.

Off-Campus Housing

ISS does not assist students to find off-campus accomodations, but suggest the following helpful resources:

  1. Rent an Apartment:
    Students should consider looking for apartments in Bothell and surrounding neighborhoods that have easy public transportation to the UW Bothell campus. Apartments in the U.S. are not furnished. You will need to purchase household items (either new or used furniture) or consider renting items for a short time through companies, such as CORT.
