Nancy Li Will to enter PhD program in Multicultural Education

IAS Master of Arts in Cultural Studies (MACS) alum Nancy Li Will (2012) will begin a PhD in Multicultural Education at University of Washington Seattle this fall.   After graduating from MACS, Will taught ESL, American Culture & History, Thesis Writing, and other English preparatory courses at a college and high school in Taiyuan, China.  Building upon the knowledge and advocacy skills she gained through MACS, Will intends to focus her doctoral studies on how the power dynamics of race, ethnicity, identity, representation, and language impact the learning experiences of international and immigrant students in higher education.
