About Campus Safety

Our Mission

Campus Safety promotes a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for the UW Bothell and Cascadia College campus community. We support students, employees, and visitors through professional safety services, proactive patrols, crime prevention and education, emergency response coordination, and collaborative partnerships.

We work closely with campus partners, the City of Bothell Police Department, fire and emergency medical services, and other agencies to prevent and respond to safety concerns while supporting an inclusive environment for learning, working, and campus life.

Our Approach

Campus Safety uses a community-centered approach focused on prevention, preparedness, professional response, and partnerships across the UW Bothell and Cascadia College campus.

Law Enforcement Partnership

UW Bothell and Cascadia College maintain a collaborative partnership with the City of Bothell Police Department. A designated Campus Resource Officer (CRO) works closely with Campus Safety to support crime prevention, community engagement, law enforcement response, and coordination during incidents requiring police services..

Community Partnership

We build relationships with students, employees, campus partners, and community agencies to identify concerns, share information, and support a safe and welcoming campus.

Professional Response

Campus Safety personnel respond to incidents with professionalism, respect, and a focus on life safety. When additional resources are needed, we coordinate with police, fire, emergency medical services, and other response partners.

Prevention & Preparedness

We emphasize proactive patrols, safety education, crime prevention, emergency preparedness, and community awareness to help reduce risk before incidents occur.

Training & Accountability

Our personnel receive ongoing training to support professional service, effective communication, respectful interactions, and consistent response to the needs of our campus community.
