Orientation Programs
Welcome to Orientation at UW Bothell!
Orientation isn’t just a single event, it’s a journey made up of meaningful experiences designed to support your transition to university life. The process varies depending on which quarter you’re admitted and whether you’re entering as a First-Year or Transfer student, so you’ll engage with the Orientation experience that best fits your unique path to UW Bothell.

After You Are Admitted to UW Bothell
You’ll receive your next steps from Orientation & Transition Programs via email, so it’s important to set up your UW email account as soon as possible. All official communication, including messages from otp@uw.edu, will be sent to your UW email.
There are two major steps to the Orientation process which must be completed prior to registering for classes. First, all new students must complete UWB101, a self-paced online program, and the required Husky Prevention & Response course. After that, you’ll participate in an Advising & Orientation (A&O) Session, which varies based on student type and admission quarter. Space in A&O sessions are limited, so early registration is encouraged, you will not be able to register for classes until you complete A&O in full. Additional resources and information are also available for International Students, Veterans, and those seeking accessibility accommodations.
