Campus Resource Officer

The Campus Resource Officer (CRO) program is a partnership between UW Bothell, Cascadia College, and the City of Bothell Police Department. The CRO is a commissioned City of Bothell police officer assigned to support the shared campus community through community engagement, crime prevention, law enforcement services, and coordination with Campus Safety.

The CRO works closely with Campus Safety while remaining an employee and commissioned law enforcement officer of the City of Bothell Police Department.

What the Campus Resource Officer Does

• Provides law enforcement services and support to the campus community
• Patrols UW Bothell and Cascadia College campus properties
• Works with Campus Safety to respond to incidents requiring law enforcement authority
• Supports crime prevention, safety education, and community engagement
• Builds relationships with students, employees, and campus partners
• Coordinates with Campus Safety and other emergency response partners when needed

Emergency — Call 911

Call 911 for emergencies, immediate threats to life or safety, crimes in progress, fire, or urgent medical assistance.

Campus Safety — 425-352-5359

Contact Campus Safety for on-campus safety concerns, suspicious activity, safety escorts, building access assistance, incident reporting, and other non-emergency campus safety needs. Campus Safety is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Bothell Police Non-Emergency — 425-486-1254

Contact the City of Bothell Police Department non-emergency line for police matters that do not require an immediate emergency response.

Meet Our Campus Resource Officer

Duane LaFavers — Campus Resource Officer, City of Bothell Police Department

Officer LaFavers has served as the Campus Resource Officer for UW Bothell and Cascadia College since May 2022. He joined the City of Bothell Police Department in 2019 after previously serving with the Los Angeles Police Department. His law enforcement experience includes patrol, field training, supervision, investigations, crisis intervention, and community engagement.
