Scott Kurashige elected president of the American Studies Association

IAS faculty member Scott Kurashige was elected as the incoming President of the American Studies Association (ASA).  The ASA promotes the development and dissemination of interdisciplinary research on U.S. culture and history in a global context. Its purpose is to support scholars and scholarship committed to original research, critical thinking, and public dialogue.  Kurashige will serve as president-elect effective July 1, 2018, and president for one-year effective July 1, 2019.
