School of Nursing & Health Studies lecturer Stefanie Iverson Cabral and students in her autumn quarter "Quarantine & Isolation" and "Disease, Human History, Society, and Civilization" courses visited Firland Sanatorium to learn more about tuberculosis treatment in the early 20th century and the "sanatorium cure."

Assistant Professor Linda Eaton received a grant from National Institute of Nursing Research to pursue her research on chronic pain management and recorded hypnosis intervention.

Dr. Nora Kenworthy, assistant professor, participated in the 2018 Political Origins of Health Inequities and Universal Health Coverage international panel.  Dr. Kenworthy's topic was related to her research on the impacts of crowdfunding.
