About the UW Bothell Website:
It is run on Kentico, a content management system (CMS).
UW Bothell has been using Kentico since 2009.
The website exceeds 9,000 pages.
The website is supported by six professional staff, one student assistant, and approximately 200 departmental web publishers.
Access to webpages are granted by individuals with Primary Publisher permissions and access is granted to the whole directory, not to an individual webpage. There is one Primary Publisher per top level directory. The first document seen after ".edu/" is the top level. Example: www.uwb.edu/studentaffairs
See the CMS Access request page for information on how to request editing permissions in Kentico. Users must have a UWB Access Account (UWBID) in order to request access. UWBIDs are different from NetIDs.
The supervisor must submit a request to IT to have an Access Account created for the new user. For more information on UW Bothell Access Accounts, please visit IT's informational page here.
All Kentico users are required to attend a Kentico training session. Please do not make major edits to your site until you have completed the training.
The sessions are every other Thursday, cover the basics of Kentico, and last approximately 1.5 hours.

"Open office hours" are held every Tuesday from 1:30PM to 3:30PM with the Web Support Specialist Ashley Magdall. They are usually in UW1 on the 3rd floor vista but will sometimes be hosted in different spots on campus so please check her Outlook calendar for a location. Please contact Ashley if you cannot find the location.

Forms are helpful if people request services from your team or you want to collect contact information/feedback. Forms keep metrics and you can export the data into an Excel spreadsheet to review work completed over any amount of time.
