Erin McFeely, M. Ed., Retention Specialist (She/Her/Hers)

Erin McFeely began working in higher education in 2007 and is spouse to an active duty military service member. Her professional background is in Admissions, Evaluations and Undergraduate Advising. Erin began her work in the Office of Admissions at UW Bothell as a Senior Transfer Advisor for Pre-professional Pathways in 2019 and moved into a project appointment as Recruitment Manager in 2021, and recently another project appointment as a Retention Specialist position for HRSA ABLE grant with the School of Nursing and Health Studies. I’m so blessed to work with students who study nursing and health studies because this work is so important to advance the health of individuals and communities.

The most meaningful part of the work in education is knowing that I’m helping people follow the quest for knowledge and identity, helping people find their way and get connected. I grew up thinking I had to do everything on my own and that everything was a competition. My time as a graduate student at UW Bothell in the Master of Education really taught me the value of collaboration, sharing ideas through connecting with others and allowing others to give you feedback.
