Faculty member Dan Bustillos is editing a symposium in Narrative Inquiry in Bioethics: A Journal of Qualitative Research.  They are currently seeking submissions on the topic "To Vaccinate or Not? Parents' Stories."

Jessica Jacobson, Health Studies student, has been accepted to the Masters in Public Policy program at California Polytechnic State University.

Health Studies student Nick Begley was awarded a Founder's Fellow Scholarship for his research.  Nick has also been accepted into UWB Masters of Policy Studies program.

Health Studies students currently involved in research took part in the UWB Undergraduate Research and Creative Practice Symposium.  The symposium showcased projects from all disciplines and encouraged interdisciplinary discourse.

Seattle Business magazine  has named June Altaras, Masters of Nursing alum, Outstanding Health Care Executive for the Puget Sound Region.  Altaras is the Swedish Seattle Chief Executive and System Chief Executive for Acute Care.  She also leads a newly formed system acute care operations council, serves on the boards of several Seattle-based organizations, the Northwest Healthcare Response Network, and the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
