What is the Direct First-Year Admit Program?
The Direct First-Year Admit program is designed for high school students who possess a keen interest in pursuing business studies, offering them the opportunity to apply directly to the UW Bothell School of Business alongside their UW Bothell application.
Students accepted as a Direct First-Year Admit will join the School of Business at UW Bothell if they complete their Prerequisite courses before declaring a specific area of study.

Upon becoming a DFA student, you will
- Be eligible for School of Business scholarship opportunities
- Declare Business Administration or Economics as their major
- Gain the opportunity to network with leading companies at School of Business events
- Engage with a community of like-minded business students
- Get involved in business clubs, such as Economics, Marketing, or Women in Business
- Utilize Career Services resources
- Receive guidance from Academic Advisers from day one

How to apply & admissions process
Ensure your application follows the first-year student application deadlines and take the following actions:
- Indicate your intended major is Business Administration or Economics on your application
- List your participation in high school Business clubs
- Complete your deposit
- Schedule your orientation
