Due date

The tuition due date is always the third Friday of the quarter.

Understanding Residency

To be classified or reclassified as a resident, for tuition and fee purposes, a student must establish a bona fide domicile in the state of Washington primarily for purposes other than education for the period of one year immediately prior to classification as a resident.

If you are classified as a non-resident on the Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgment you received and you believe you qualify for resident status, you may apply for a change of status.

Merit/Need Scholarships

Partial scholarships of varied amounts awarded in the Fall and Spring Quarters for registered students.

Don Whitney Memorial Scholarship

Annual award of variable amount for an MBA student who, in the spirit of Don Whitney, represents good academic performance, caring community service, generosity, and responsibility. This scholarship is awarded in the Winter Quarter.

Additional MBA Scholarships

Additional awards are offered by the Government Finance Officers Association.

Additional Scholarship Resources

Graduate scholarships and grant opportunities are generally more competitive than undergraduate scholarship opportunities and graduate students are encouraged to widely research for opportunities.

Tuition Exemption for Washington State Employees

Limited enrollment may be available for Washington state employees using tuition exemption on a space-available basis. Students in the MBA program may use tuition exemption to enroll in any except the following MBA courses:

  • B BUS 501: Leadership, Team Process & Decision Making
  • B BUS 502: Quantitative Methods and Business Statistics
  • B BUS 503: Financial & Managerial Accounting
  • B BUS 504: Economics for Business Leaders
  • B BUS 505: Financial Management
  • B BUS 506: Marketing Management
  • B BUS 512: Strategy
  • Learning courses, graduate-level independent study courses numbered 600, 700, and 800, or any self-sustaining/fee-based courses.
  • Additional exclusions include independent study, thesis, dissertation, research, internships, tutorials, private lessons, or practicums. Also, certain state-funded courses or programs may be excluded from the tuition exemption program on the basis of academic or fiscal considerations.
