Prerequisites
To be eligible for admission, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year institution (or international equivalent).
- UW Bothell Accounting Majors: Current UW undergraduate accounting students should complete at least one quarter of prerequisite coursework before applying.
- Non-Accounting Majors: Applicants without an undergraduate degree in accounting must complete the prerequisite accounting courses listed below before starting the MSA program.
Required Upper-Level Accounting Courses (300/400 level):
- Intermediate Accounting 1, 2 & 3
- Cost Accounting
- Auditing Theory and Practice
- Federal Income Taxation
Admissions Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate strong academic and professional preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Recommended GPA of 3.0 or higher (holistic review considered)
- Accounting, business, and statistics prerequisites (bridge options available for non-accounting majors)
- English proficiency is required (TOEFL scores may be required)
- GMAT/GRE not required
