Elizabeth H. Follmer

Prior to joining the University of Washington Bothell School of Business, Dr. Follmer was on the faculty of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She holds a BS from St. John’s College and a PhD in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Follmer’s research interests include human resource management approaches specific to employees with autism and ADHD, social interaction between employees with different neurotypes, positive and negative conflict in teams, person-environment fit, and coping with stress. Her work has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, and the Oxford Handbook of Recruitment.

Dr. Follmer teaches at the undergraduate and MBA levels including courses on Organizational Behavior, Ethics, & Inclusivity; Managing Work Teams; and Negotiations & Conflict Management. She has also taught courses in Human Resource Management; Leadership & Decision Making; and Workforce Planning, Recruiting & Selection.
