Academic Programs and Advising Resources

Depending on where you are at in your academics here at Bothell will depend on what type of academic advising you require. Here is a list of all the Academic Advising available on campus.

First Year and Pre-Major Progam

First year and pre-major program is the first place to turn for all of your academic needs, from scheduling classes and meeting faculty to discussing your future career goals.

School of Business

The UW Bothell School of Business is a dynamic, passionate and ambitious community of students, scholars, business leaders and staff. BA and MBA programs are currently offered both at the Bothell campus and at the Eastside Leadership Center (ELC).

Education

The education program engages students from all backgrounds in the study of Education through undergraduate minors, post-baccalaureate K-8 certifications, graduate teacher certification, and graduate degree programs for professional educators.

School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences (IAS)

IAS offers undergraduate and graduate degrees designed for students who want to draw connections across diverse fields of study and to link academic work with real life concerns.

Nursing and Health Studies Program

School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM)

UW Bothell combines all of the STEM fields in one academic area, allowing for cross-disciplinary training and project work. The school offers seven undergraduate degrees and two graduate degrees.

Course Credits

When you register for classes, each class will have a certain number of credits. You’re awarded credit for each course you complete with a passing grade.

1 credit = 5 hours in class + 2 hours of study per week

Most UW courses are 5 credits each. For example:
