IAS 2011 Master of Arts in Cultural Studies alum and Associate Director for Advancement Priya Frank received the 2015 Outstanding Early Career Award from the UW Seattle Department of Communication.

Rebecca Brown performs in public events, including one séance

IAS faculty member Rebecca Brown performed at a number of public events this winter and spring. She participated in a reading and seance to celebrate the work of Alice B. Toklas and Gertrude Stein at the Sorrento Hotel, while IAS faculty member Ted Hiebert shot "ghost photos."

Carrie Lanza contributes to Women Who Rock

A member of the Women Who Rock Collective, IAS faculty member Carrie Lanza co-produced the 5th Annual Women Who Rock unConference. This year's theme was "Rocking Media Justice" and the unconference featured an inter-generational roundtable discussion of media activists facilitated by the Women of Color for Systemic Change, which includes several current UW Bothell students.
