About Dr. Grove
Dr. Kivalina Grove has a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Alaska, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Marketing with a specialization in Educational Data Science from the University of Oregon. She previously taught at the University of Manitoba in Canada, has professional experience in small business and nonprofit work, including serving on the board of the Alaska Brain Injury Consortium.
Dr. Grove’s teaching and research focuses on the opportunity to address meaningful and impactful problems that face consumers, businesses, and society alike, with implications for individual and community well-being. Her research is multi-method and community focused, employing interviews, focus-groups, experiments, surveys, and geospatial data analysis, conducted in collaboration with local businesses and governmental agencies.
