As of June 2013, UW has moved its central UW Calendar of Events for all campus public events and departmental calendars to a new calendaring system called Trumba. It provides a better user interface, event registration, and the ability to embed individual calendars into websites. Also, an event created in one calendar can appear in multiple calendars.
Trumba Account Request
Only designated primary calendar editors may request a new user account. Please include the following information when requesting a new Trumba account:
- Name of the editor
- Personal UW NetID*
- Department, school, college, or unit for the local calendar
- Calendar(s) on which you want events to appear; a list of UW Bothell existing calendars can be found on the right side of the calendar page.
Send your request to Advancement & External Relations: firstname.lastname@example.org
* Note: Use of shared UW NetIDs for calendar administration is strongly discouraged. Because shared UW NetIDs are used by multiple people, the IDs provide no way of tracing calendar activity to a particular person, which may be warranted in case of misuse.
Trumba is administered by the University of Washington in Seattle. The University of Washington Bothell is unable to provide comprehensive training. Trumba is easy to use and the University provides excellent training videos. To view a recording of the Trumba Editor training, go here. This video presents an overview of the basics of the Trumba system such as adding and editing events
