Bruce Burgett presents on “Creating Critical Field Formations”

IAS faculty member Bruce Burgett presented as part of a roundtable on “Creating Critical Field Formations: Keywords for African American Studies, American Cultural Studies, and Gender and Sexuality Studies” at the 2021 American Studies Association conference. He was joined by his co-editor for Keywords for American Cultural Studies (Glenn Hendler, Fordham University), the co-editors of the recently released Keywords for Gender and Sexuality Studies (Mishuana Goeman, UCLA, and Kyla Tompkins, Pomona College), and NYU Press Associate Director and Editor-in-Chief, Eric Zinner for discussion of field formation as it relates to modes of publication, habits of professionalization, and insurgent forms of interdisciplinarity.
