IAS faculty member Rebecca Brown performed at a number of public events this winter and spring. She participated in a reading and seance to celebrate the work of Alice B. Toklas and Gertrude Stein at the Sorrento Hotel, while IAS faculty member Ted Hiebert shot "ghost photos." She hosted a tour of the "Pan: A Graphic Arts Time Capsule of Europe, 1895 – 1900" exhibit at the Frye Art museum. She took part in an on-stage conversation with Pulitzer Prize winner Garry Wills to discuss his new book The Future of the Catholic Church with Pope Francis at Town Hall. She also read at the Search for Meaning book festival at Seattle University. Brown's recent publications include “The Problem with Diva Worship” and “How to Survive Winter with Nothing but Your Own Mind".
