Purpose
Elected Faculty Councils (EFCs)
The EFCs for UW Bothell schools bear the responsibility for advising their respective deans on academic policy, including priorities, resource and salary allocation, and budgets. They also advise on promotion and tenure.
School Bylaws
School bylaws define how faculty governance operates within each academic unit. When bylaws are updated, Schools should submit the revised version to the GFO Executive Council (EC) at uwbgfo@uw.edu, along with a brief description of the changes. This submission is for documentation and inclusion in the EC’s consent agenda—not for review or approval—and helps maintain transparency and alignment across governance bodies.
