Returner Housing Selection

New and improved for 2026 – Returner Housing Selection is now a series of events and opportunities to help you pick your next spot and find your best roommate match. Meeting new people and learning how to connect is an important skill.

Golden Ticket (NEW!)

With more students living in housing than ever before, residents are strongly encouraged to find roommates and fill a 4-person unit. In fact, if you are in a group of four with a completed Golden Ticket by 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 14, you will get to skip the line and select your unit first! Golden Ticket forms are available at the Front Desk and at Matching Events.

Attend a Matching Event

To welcome you to Forest and Horizon, each hall will be hosting two matching events during the first two weeks of spring quarter. Residential Life staff will be leading activities to help you meet others and find your best roommate matches! 

For residents living in Horizon Hall for 2026 to 2027

  • April 1st from 7:00pm to 8:00pm in Forest Hall
  • April 8th from 7:00pm to 8:00pm in Forest Hall

For residents living in Forest Hall for 2026 to 2027

  • April 2nd from 8:00pm to 9:00pm in Forest Hall
  • April 8th from 8:00pm to 9:00pm in Forest Hall

Find a roommate online via RoomSync

Check your email for an invite from Capstone to join RoomSync. This online tool is free for you to use. Only other residents will have access to these message board. Residents can post seeking roommates and respond to other residents’ posts. Many residents have found roommate this way before!

Returner Housing Selection Night

We have a new process, so be sure that you show up at the right time and at the correct lounge for your unit type.

Tuesday, April 14 6:00-9:00pm in Forest and Summit Lounges

Maps of the available units will be posted in the lounge. Capstone staff will be in the lounge to answer questions. This is a great time to complete your Golden Ticket form with three other roommates to skip the line.

What to know: 

  • Leasing a studio or single-unit in Horizon or Forest? You do not need to attend housing selection night, Capstone will email you about a separate process. 
  • Note your housing type, as well as time and location. Unless you have a Golden ticket, please plan to arrive at the scheduled time. 
  • Individual residents with no roommates will only be able to select a unit that has someone assigned in it on housing selection night. We understand this will limit your options. Want a specific unit? You will want to find roommate!
