Celebrating growth and impact at the 2025 Mentorship EDGE Networking and Awards Celebration

2025 Mentorship EDGE awardees

The UW Bothell School of Business hosted its annual Mentorship EDGE Networking and Awards Celebration, a night of student achievement, professional generosity and the powerful connections that shape career journeys. The May 30th event brought together students, mentors, faculty, alumni and industry professionals to honor the transformative relationships formed through the Mentorship EDGE program.

About Mentorship EDGE

Mentorship EDGE Program Manager Elizabeth Prendergast and Interim Dean of School of Business Rajib Sanyal.

The Mentorship EDGE experience empowers students to transform their lives and careers through personalized mentoring with exceptional business leaders. Through this structured, high-impact program, students are matched with experienced professionals who provide critical career mentorship sessions and ongoing professional guidance.

Over several months, students work one-on-one with their mentors to build clarity around their goals, develop networking and communication skills and gain insight into real-world business challenges. The program not only enhances career readiness — it cultivates confidence, leadership and a lifelong mindset of growth.

Recognizing Mentors of the Year

Two outstanding professionals were recognized as Mentors of the Year, nominated by students whose academic and professional journeys were deeply impacted by their mentorship.

Philip Drammeh, principal group technical program manager at Microsoft

Drammeh’s mentorship is marked by unwavering dedication, strategic insight and a deep belief in the potential of every student he supports. As a seasoned leader in the tech industry, Drammeh brings more than just career advice to his mentees — he brings a transformative approach grounded in thoughtful reflection and empowerment.

“Philip is the kind of mentor who not only helps you grow but also reminds you why your growth matters,” Nuguse said.

D’Laina Boynton, research lead and strategy lead for digital transformation at AIM Consulting Group
