Shana on mentorship

Today we are living in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world. To address the grave challenges we face, the world needs leaders who are brave, creative, and empathetic. To do such hard work, leaders must remain tenacious, though they needn’t do so without support. I want to be that support for individuals who are committed to improving their world throughout their professions and their lives. Secondly, mentorship has been essential to the success of my business. At every step, I’ve relied on the generosity and skills of excellent mentors. Being a mentor for the EDGE program is an opportunity to express my gratitude to them, to pay their efforts forward. Finally, to contribute to the success of another, through my words or actions, brings me immense joy. Seeing someone light up with insight, to feel more confident, to achieve a goal—this is the greatest reward I know.
