Student Life Highlights

At UW Bothell, education extends beyond the classroom walls. Join a club, pursue an internship, perform research with our world-class faculty or work with a community organization. There are no limits to your opportunities.

Celebrate diverse ideas, backgrounds and cultures

Diversity, equity and inclusion guide our beliefs. From your first day, you’ll learn alongside Huskies with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Students say collaborating with people from all backgrounds is one of the highlights of their UW Bothell experience.

Create in the Makerspace

UW Bothell’s Makerspace is a creative environment with the equipment needed for curricular and co-curricular activities. Located on the first floor of Discovery Hall, the Makerspace is a free resource for students, faculty and staff. The lab is equipped with tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, a vinyl cutter, sewing machines and more.

Beyond the classroom

With more than 100 student clubs and organizations on campus, you can get involved and find your community. Or, you can make your own club! Many students pursue internships and volunteer projects that help develop skills that employers want. From clubs to creativity to research, you’ll find plenty to challenge yourself and have fun.

Connect with students at the ARC

The Activities & Recreation Center (ARC) is the hub of student life on campus, where students can gather, socialize, dine and exercise.

Student Support

UW Bothell offers a wide variety of student support both in and out of the classroom. Our current students webpage lists a number of those resources, a few of which are highlighted below.

Tutoring

Our Writing & Communication and Qualitative Skills centers in the Learning Commons offer one-on-one tutoring from peers and staff as well as workshops to help you refine key skill sets that will serve you in college and beyond! We also offer an academic success coaching program designed to assist all students in reaching their full academic potential.

Explore Student Support at UW Bothell

One of the biggest things I wish I had started earlier in college was getting more involved with campus activities, like joining clubs, attending events, or applying for campus jobs. I began engaging more in my sophomore year, and it has made my school experience amazing. Working as a Student Engagement Coordinator, I’ve created events, honed my marketing and design skills, and fostered a sense of community.
