Prevention works

We believe in fostering a community in which all students can access their education in an environment free of violence and harm. In order to achieve this goal, the VPA office relies on evidence-based strategies to transform our campus culture.

Academic & administrative departments

Faculty and staff have critical roles to play in reducing the incidence and impact of violence on students. The VPA can help you with everything from a one-time training to designing and implementing a comprehensive plan to prevent violence within your school or department.

Student organizations

Student organizations play a vital role in bringing culture and community to our campus and have the unique opportunity to create environments where sexual and domestic violence are actively prevented and addressed. The VPA is here to collaborate with student leaders interested in developing tailored programs and events to support their organizations.

If you’d like to submit a program request, please use the link below. For multiple workshops, submit a separate survey for each request. Requests must be made at least two weeks in advance to ensure we have the capacity to meet your needs.

Please note: The VPA does not provide Title IX workshops or training. To request a workshop or training on Title IX topics, please email titleix@uw.edu.
