The Parenting Student Resource Program at UW Bothell is specifically designed to support the needs of students who are parents and uplift them as they complete their degree.
Child Care Assistance Program
Child care assistance for UW Bothell parenting students
The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) provides assistance to UW Bothell students in covering the costs of licensed childcare for their children (newborn – 12 years old) while enrolled in an eligible program of study. This award is funded jointly by Services & Activities fees and a federal CCAMPIS Grant through the Department of Education.

Lactation and Changing Spaces
If you are a nursing or pumping parent attending school, we provide on-site lactation stations. All lactation stations provide a private, secure, clean space for you to feed your baby or express milk.

Parenting Pantry
When families are able to meet basic needs such as food, housing, and medical care, parents and other caregivers experience less stress, which allows them to provide the critical support that children need to grow into healthy, productive adults. To help support parenting students, the Husky Pantry often offers small amount of diapers, formula, clothing, and other supplies.

Need Help Finding Child Care?
We understand that child care can provide a safe, supportive place for children while parents are taking classes, allowing you to focus on being a student. Unfortunately, affordable child care can be difficult to find. Did you know the Seattle area ranks 7th highest in the country for child care costs?
- Child Care Aware: has resources for both finding child care and tips for how to pay.
- Child Care Check: allows you to search for licensed care providers and view their WA State Dept. of Children, Family, and Youth license (along with any inspection reports or complaints)
- 211: A comprehensive database of community resources, including child care and diaper assistance programs.
