Team Guatemala Video Available

Dr. Mabel Ezeonwu, Associate Professor in the School of Nursing & Health Studies, led 18 UW Bothell students on a two week trip to Guatemala. The students held one day clinics and learned about the challenges of providing health care in resource-poor settings.

Alum, Faculty, and VA Collaborate on Article for the AJN

Alum Denise Eckerlin (BSN '14), faculty member Andrea Kovalesky, and community partner Matthew Jakupcak co-authored an article to be published in the September 2016 American Journal of Nursing. Kovalesky cited the "interdisciplinary nature of UWB" as contributing to the appearance of the article.

Grace Lasker, Green Chemistry and Chemical Stewardship

School of Nursing & Health Studies Senior Lecturer, Dr. Grace Lasker, is being recognised for her contribution to green chemistry. Dr. Lasker, collaborating with the UW's Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Science, Yale's Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering, and the UW's Professional & Continuing Education office, has designed an online program in chemical stewardship. Dr. Lasker has not only created the program but is also teaching courses within the one year certificate program.
