Become More Mindful

As a part of Nurses Week, we've asked faculty to share their reflections on a daily basis. Dr. Kosuke Niitsu, SNHS Assistant Professor, sent us the following:

Checking the vital signs, passing out medications… When we are busy with so many things to do, our mind tends to wander by rehashing the past or rehearsing the future, which can cause us to feel stressed and/or anxious. Simply focusing on breathing can help us stay in the present and become more mindful. One breath at a time, literally!
