Tabatha Blevins Awarded Health Studies Scholarship

Congratulations to Health Studies student Tabatha Blevins!
Tabatha was selected to receive our Health Studies Scholarship for $1000. She was chosen for her motivation, resiliency, and passion to serve her community. Tabatha hopes to use the scholarship money to earn a CNA while continuing to study in the Health Studies major and has future goals of becoming a Physician Assistant. She is a wonderful representative and steward of the School of Nursing and Health Studies.

Tabatha wrote the following thank you note for all those who made this scholarship possible, "I am so honored and blessed to be receiving this scholarship. It will be a great help as I continue on my journey to physician assistant (PA) school. I was able to save up enough money this past quarter to register for nursing assistant classes, and I will be receiving that certification at the end of this month. I will be working in a nursing home this summer to get a head start on the 4,000 hours of paid patient care recommended for PA school. It is such a relief to know that I will be able to buy textbooks each quarter next year without worry. Thank you all so much for giving me that peace of mind. I hope that I will be successful enough one day to help out in the same way you have done, and help a young scholar achieve her dreams."
