Partnerships In Community Health

Please join us for the Winter 2016 BNURS 409 Poster Presentation showcasing the work of nursing students in the UW Bothell, RN to BSN program. In this course, students learned to analyze, apply and evaluate health care activities of local, national, and global communities. Working closely with community partners, students worked in groups to apply community health nursing principles to promote and maintain population self-care. Poster topics will include "The Next Step: Resources to Ease Transition after UGM," "Clinical Notes for Case Management: Seattle Union Gospel Mission's Extended Care Program, Foundational Development of the Extended Care Program," "Working Upstream and Touching Lives at Trinity Place: Engaging Communities by Promoting Healthy Behaviors and Empowering Women/Families," "Building Healthy Families Thru Health Promotion & Empowerment," and "Empowerment and Better Health: Preliminary Outcomes of EducationalOutreach to Improve Health and Parenting Skills Among High-Risk Women." We are proud to invite community partners, faculty, students and the interested public to this event.
