Amaranth Borsuk speaks at Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conference

IAS faculty member Amaranth Borsuk attended the annual AWP conference in Portland, Oregon last week, joining more than 12,000 writers in a three-day marathon of panels, talks, and off-site readings. Borsuk spoke and shared her work as part of the panel Poetry and Technology: Appendage, Mask, Voice, Body, and Song. With fellow panelists Samuel Ace, Douglas Kearney, and Ronaldo Wilson, Borsuk shared the ways she thinks about technology in her work, and how the book itself and collaborative practices deepen her writing. The MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics was also well-represented at the AWP Bookfair with a table staffed by Miriam Bartha with assistance from Borsuk, IAS faculty member Jeanne Heuving, Alumnus Corbin Louis, and current students Woogee Bae, dana middleton, and Sean Mosman Sinclair.
