Denise Vaughan wins Presidents Award in Parliamentary Debate

IAS faculty member and UW Bothell Director of Speech and Debate Denise Vaughan was presented with a Presidents Award in Parliamentary Debate at the Northwest Forensics Conference. The Presidents Award is given to the top three programs in parliamentary debate in the region, including
Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and parts of Utah. In related news, Vaughn will be hosting Wiley College’s Great Debaters on April 7, the team the 2007 movie was based on. As part of UW Bothell’s Diversity Week, the team will be debating the UW Bothell Speech and Debate Society at an event beginning at 2:30 in the North Creek Events Center.
