The VPA offers workshops, trainings, and guided conversations for UWB and Cascadia College. These sessions, facilitated by professional staff, can be tailored for groups of students, faculty, and/or staff.

Prevention workshops focus on fostering culture change, preventing harm before it occurs, and transforming our campus into a community free from violence. Response trainings emphasize skill-building to ensure appropriate, compassionate support for those who have experienced sexual or relationship violence. All workshops and trainings can be customized to meet the specific needs of students, faculty, staff, and student staff.

Prevention workshops

Our prevention workshops include the “Creating a Violence-Free UWB” orientation session, which is provided to all incoming first-year and transfer students. We also offer bystander training for student staff and leaders, along with other sessions. Stay tuned for more workshops and trainings, as we’ll be adding new opportunities soon!

Response trainings

Our team offers response training on topics such as responding to disclosures, developing response protocols, implementing trauma-informed care practices, and more.
