Student Advisory Group
The Student Advisory Group is made up of 6 -10 students from UW Bothell and Cascadia College who are passionate about making changes on campus around violence prevention, mental health awareness, and advocating for basic needs. The Student Advisory Group Member is a paid part-time position that meets regularly with the VPA team in order to give feedback and inform the work the VPA does on campus.
The SAG is a great opportunity as a student to have your voice heard and to contribute to a safer campus culture. Training is provided for SAG members by the VPA and other experts in order to provide knowledge of best practices and support resources.
Testimonials from previous SAG members:
- “I liked that our feedback was actually considered and hope to see more VPA held events on campus to further raise awareness.”
- “The structure was good and the meetings were very insightful. I’d leave the meetings feeling hopeful and happy with the work we’d done.”
- “I loved being on the Student Advisory Group, and learned so much!”
